For many years I traveled around the world with a tool roll like this. It was the only one I found that carried the large number of small tools I needed. The tool roll's protective flaps kept the tools from sliding out. And the the thing took up remarkably little space.
The manufacturer of that tool roll is long gone. So we took many of its basic ideas and made small improvements to create a durable and versatile tool roll for woodworkers.
Made in Springfield, Oregon, from 10 oz. cotton duck canvas, this tool roll is great for protecting delicate tools inside your tool chest, or for taking all your essential small tools to a woodworking class. Lying flat and open, the tool roll measures 12" x 16" and has 18 pockets with two protective flaps.
Once full, the two canvas flaps further secure the tools. Then it is cinched closed with a cotton webbing strap and two nickel O-rings. Just pass the webbing through both rings, then back through one of them, like a climbing harness or motorcycle helmet.
